His career began when he was nineteen and started as a 3M sign installer. His drive and desire to learn led him to leadership spots at City Outdoor in New York City. He has been given recognition by places like Advertising Age as one of the “50 Pioneers and Visionaries of Advertising,” as well as one of the “Five Original Thinkers of the 90s,” by Chicago magazine. Aside from being a visionary and a businessman, Jim Neumann is a philanthropist. He is one of the board members of the United Way of St. Louis and the Boy Scouts of America.
